Candice and Delance’s Family Portrait Session in Venice, FL

Whenever there is a little one in the session, there is a little bit of uncertainty of how things will go down.  We love kids and have two little ones of our own, but no matter how well you prepare, on our ends (squeaky toys, smarties, funny faces, dangling keys) and the clients (baby well fed and rested beforehand) you never really know how long you have to shoot until complete meltdown.  We are pretty good at distractions, lots of quick rests and moving quickly between locations to keep things fresh and engaging for the little ones so we are pleased to say that THIS little one was an absolute delight from start to finish!  This day was perfect, gorgeous light dropping into another stunning SW Florida sunset, back lighting the palms and adding a golden glow to everything it touches.  This beautiful family was ready to work it for the camera and the smile on this little guys face is just another of the many reasons we love what we do!

Sheila and George’s Multi Generational Portrait Session at Venice Beach

We just love big families, so when we got the call from these guys, were were instantly excited.   Family is everything to us!  We love our family and use that same passion to capture the love in your family.  This day sent us to Venice Beach on a rare early morning session.  We don’t do a lot of morning shoots because we just love that end of the day light.  But morning like these make us rethink morning sessions all together.  There is something magical about early morning light as well. Once that sun got overhead it was time to head for the shade.  We finished off this session with a trip over to the baynan trees, one of our favorite spots to relax in the shade and climb in the trees.  Just another beautiful day in Paradise!

Erin and Patrick’s Portrait Session at the Ca’ d’Zan

Some of our favorites from Erin and Patrick’s Portrait Session at the Ca’ d’Zan in Sarasota. We were instantly excited about this one because we have always wanted to have a session at this beautiful location. It was a wonderful day and all of the students who attend classes here were on break so we had the place to ourselves. The weather was perfect and Erin and Patrick were just amazing to work with. Another one of the many, many reasons we love what we do!

The Journey Begins

Well, we have finally gotten around to making our Blog. It has been discussed for some time, but here it is.

We decided to start our Blog with Amelia’s Senior Session at Casperson Beach in Venice. Casperson is one of our favorite photo spots because it is completely unique from most of the other beaches around and offers up a lot of beautiful locations to photograph. One of it’s notable features are the large rocks along the coastline to keep the beach from eroding away. They offer all sorts of stunning photo opportunities. Amelia’s session was extra special because it is the day we discovered a new part to Casperson we had never seen before, the trails behind the parking lots. We happened to be killing some time before Amelia arrived when we took a stroll down a path and found some amazing locations off the path with the sun blazing through the trees. It was the session that completely transformed the way we photograph this location and we go back there every chance we get.
